It is no secret that Apple is working on a new set of smartphones for later this year. Over the last few weeks, countless leaks and rumours have pointed towards this, with the latest reports claiming that there could be as many as four new smartphones that Apple would launch under the iPhone 12 line-up during its upcoming event likely to be held in October.

Now ahead of the launch, there's been some information about the tech giant phasing out some of its most popular phones to make way for the upcoming models. The phones in question are the iPhone XR, iPhone 11 Pro and the iPhone 11 Pro Max.




This information comes courtesy of a twitter handle iAppleTimes which claims also claims that apart from these two, the iPhone 11 will also be significantly impacted by the launch of the new iPhone 12 phones. The tipster claims that the iPhone 11 will receive a significant $150 price cut once iPhone 12 launch is out of the way.

Talking about the iPhone 12, the new Apple iPhone is expected to arrive in three different screen sizes including the 5.4-inch, 6.7-inch, and 6.1 inches. Along with phones and iPad, Apple is also rumored to launch the augmented reality glasses called the Apple Glass. The rumors about Apple launching the AR glasses started way back in October 2019, it was also reported then that Apple will likely collaborate with third-party brands to launch the first generation of its AR Glasses.

Apple is yet to make an official announcement about the release dates of its upcoming products, and these pieces of information were shared by tipsters and hence cannot be confirmed. Yet, it is all but expected that Apple will launch the new phones sometime in the first week of October.
